New connectors

The following connectors have been added to Snow Integration Manager 5.12:

BMC Remedy

An accurate and up-to-date CMDB enables IT service desks to streamline request-handling processes – optimizing time and reducing costs. Unfortunately, maintaining the CMDB is often a challenge for ITSM Managers given the amount of data related to the daily environment changes to computers, users, and the software consumed in their organizations.

The BMC Remedy connector populates and maintains BMC Remedy with accurate information about your estate from the data stored in Snow License Manager.

Microsoft Intune

Lack of consolidation in scenarios with multiple inventory solutions complicates the calculation of an effective license position (ELP) for an application and makes optimizing software spend non-trivial. This connector leverages existing Microsoft Intune investment by normalizing data through Snow, and enables Snow License Manager to provide a single pane-of-glass overview of your entire IT estate, including environments inventoried through Microsoft Intune.

The Snow Integration Connector (SIC) for Microsoft Intune gathers inventory data for users, computers, mobile devices, installed applications, and operating system details from Microsoft Intune cloud-based service.

Enhancements

The following enhancements have been implemented in Snow Integration Connector 5.12:

Snow Device Manager – support has been added for the most recent version of Snow’s Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution, Snow Device Manager 6.

HP DDMI – the field IsPortable is now set to True for laptops and portable devices; an additional field, IsTablet, has been added to client element, and the parsing of LogicalDisk entities has been improved.

HP UD – to enrich the data provided by this connector: software metering is now included in the data provided by this connector, the field IsPortable is now set to True for laptops and portable devices; an additional field, IsTablet, has been added to client element, parsing of LogicalDisk entities has been improved, and If available valid filename is extracted for file pathnames ending with a zero.

MobileIron – the connector parameter Username now retrieves its contents from the MobileIron user_id instead of display_name.

Microsoft SCCM v. 2012 – support has been added for SCCM release 1806.

BMC Remedyforce – filtering options for desktops, servers, laptops, logical disks, and optical drives have been added for data gathered from Snow License Manager.

Corrections

The following corrections have been implemented in Snow Integration Manager 5.12:
  • Microsoft Configuration Manager - current branch – no longer fails aggregation against SCCM 2016 (PRB0041799)
  • Azure Discovery – bad request (400) aggregation error no longer arises when retrieving data from Azure. (PRB0041998)
  • AirWatch – the connector parameter Username now retrieves its contents from the AirWatch parameter Username instead of FirstName + LastName.  (PRB0041421)
  • HP UD/DDMI – case-sensitivity issues have been removed so that both .xsf and .XSF file extensions can be handled.

Product dependencies

This version of the BMC Remedy and BMC Remedyforce connector requires Snow License Manager 8.3.1 or higher
