ProductSnow Automation Platform
New version3.5.0
Release DateMarch 26, 2018
Current StatusReleased

The following features have been added to Snow Automation Platform, version 3.5.0:

  • Stored object properties to reduce service calls
The method of accessing the properties of a parameter has been improved, reducing complexity and
improving performance by removing the need to make repeated PowerShell Web Services calls. Parameters
along with all of their properties are now stored in the database.

The list of properties will be stored in the database using a new reference tag:

To support this feature, the following input directives have been updated: snow-autocomplete, snowprepopulated-read-only, and snow-prepopulated-textbox.

Parameters configured with wpo tag must be visible on checkout. Otherwise, the related activity will signal an error with a message saying that hidden parameters configured with the wpo tag cannot be resolved.

To use the new reference tag, a list of properties for the connected PSWS must exist in the Snow Automation Platform Domain database. This list can be created by an admin user.

  • Support for 64-bit processes
Scheduled tasks can now be configured to launch 64-bit processes.

  • Show hidden parameters (admins only)
A toggle button, show/hide hidden parameters has been added to the Checkout and My services views that enables hidden parameters to be visualized. The purpose of this feature is to simplify debugging by providing admins with greater insight into the configuration of the service being requested.

The following defects have been corrected in Snow Automation Platform, version 3.5.0:

  • Null reference exception no longer raised for workflows not connected to a service
Task steps in a workflow, not connected to a service, which are scheduled or invoked through InvokeWorkflow or as no longer raises a null reference exception.

  • Magnifier icon no longer appears
The magnifier icon in the snow-autocomplete and snow-autocompleted-string-array input directives no longer appears over the placeholder text when it is too long.

  • Fix to erroneous authorization denied message
Administrators who only have access to Request monitor will no longer get an authorization denied error
    when filtering on requesting user.

  • Text no longer obscures other text
Long text now display correctly and no longer overlaps other content.
