I was looking for more insight having read through documentation regarding Inventory 5 configuration. We currently have some machines that are WORKGROUP (non domain joined) which have the capability to post Inventory. We won't be the only business for network security purposes. I believe that these cannot be managed by Snow Inventory despite checking in, as the server cannot push down, or is it a case that connection is established and used via HTTP?
Is there any log files server side to see failed configuration/agent deployment?
If there is no network connection to the Snow Inventory Server, a manual scan via USB can also be performed.
If an management or distribution is also used via the Inventory Server, we still need the ports TCP 135
