Application Compliance History report - Metric Wrong?

Question asked by EE on Feb 21, 2019

I've noticed the 'Metric' field for the 'Application Compliance History' report reports the Metric options of:

  • Based on CAL (Client Access License)
  • Based on concurrent devices
  • Based on concurrent users
  • Based on custom compare values
  • Based on installations
  • Based on total devices
  • Based on total processor cores
  • Based on total processors
  • Based on total users

There is no option to choose a column for 'No License Required'.  In fact even applications that don't require a license on the report have a metric of one of the above option, instead of showing 'No License Required" is per the 'All Applications' report. The 'All Applications' report has these options under Metric:

- Based on CAL (Client Access License)
- Based on concurrent devices
- Based on concurrent users
- Based on custom compare values
- Based on installations
- Based on PVU
- Based on total devices
- Based on total processor cores
- Based on total processors
- Based on total users
- No license required

The difference in these I can see is one must refer to Application Metric and the other License Metric. I don't understand why these are not the same for the 2 reports I've mentioned? Why is the metric for applications with no license requirement being record as 'Based on Installations' on the Application Compliance History report?

In order to clear out those applications with no license requirement from the Application Compliance History report I need to run the later report and identify those with 'No License Required' on the former to remove them.
