Input Microsoft licenses

Question asked by PaulMotshagen on Jul 16, 2019

We are ready to start entering the microsoft licenses into Snow. I get the base data from the Microsoft Licensing Site. However this contains so much history that it is almost impossible to reconstruct. Furthermore, a lot of perpetual licenses are so old that they are not available in Microsoft Volume Licensing Site.

I was planning to start from the latest Enterprise Agreement. But that contains mostly software assurance line items. So no base license. If these are missing, Snow will probably not count it as a valid license.

Any suggestions on how to solve this? I was thinking of entering fake base licenses under some fake agreement to get the right start situation. Then use these licenses as base licenses for the Software Assurance items.

Thanks for the help in advance.
