I wonder in which reports I could have the column "source" except in "Computers not inventoried"
I would really like to have it in the "All computers report" as we sometimes need to show what inventory source computers come from.
I think that might be a good place for our Snow Ideas Board !
Eventually you can use the "Search for computers" page and add the column "client version". If you group this up, you will see a bunch of different versions - knowing which versions are agents (ex. 3.7x, 5.2.x, 6.2.x) or which one are from the SIM (ex. 5.16) you could distinguish them at least a bit.

SIM versions just tells you that data is from a SIM. I would like to see what source was used. If its from a SIM I would like to see the connector. Reporting would be a bit easier that way :-)
That is correct! To my knowledge there is no such field in any report in the SLM, however there is a possibility to fetch this data from the database. I just ran a query to check the inventory source which in an example looks like this:
You could require a custom report with the fields you want, but this would be a request for professional services.
In such cases i use the column Client configuration.
You can add that in computer search, but also in reports.
When you add a connector in SIM you have to give it a name. This name you then can see as Client configuration.
So when you use a special naming convention in SIM you can see in SLM where it comes from.
Perhaps that may help you.
Carola, your a rock :-)
That was exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you for the advice.
