Does anyone have easy to follow instructions from upgrading from License Manager 8.3.11 to the current License manager version? Also, since we're on Inventory 6.0.3 can we get by without needing to upgrade the agents?

Hi John,
I would recommend to read this blog How to prepare for the SLM9 upgrade
There are several things you need to consider like license key, more disk space, custom procedures, ...
Thank you Carola, this is very helpful.

Hi John
It's relatively simple to upgrade from 8.3 to v9 of SLM. You just need to ensure that your server(s) meet the minimum system requirements.Always recommend you take a full backup before the upgrade though. You will however need to upgrade your Inventory server to the latest version too if you want to run the latest version of SLM. You don't need to upgrade the agents, however unless you are running older versions of OS it makes sense to upgrade them via the Inventory Server SMACC. If you do have older OS out there (like server 2003 that won't run the latest version) you can create a view in the SMACC excluding these devices and then run an agent update using that view. Works a treat!
Thanks
Adam
