Storing request ref with new user

We're looking to start storing the specific REF against the user that has been created (we do this in AD already and put it into one of the fields), does anyone know of a way that we could assign request refs from Service-Now into an account, so that if someone two years down the line asks why the user has access, we can quickly find the ref without having to dig through service-now?


I'm specifically talking about System Users that are created via the SMACC, rather than Computer Users within SLM
