Snowinv\Error folder has over 9000 inv files. And Im missing devices in Software any ideas.
I checked the server.txt file and found the error Failed to connect to database.

have you checked with your DBA? there may have been database issues at the time?
i'd suggest a restart of the snow services then drop the files back in for processing.
also I assume you have checked connectivity from the server to your database box? ping and telnet to 1433?

i think the issue was related to the "snowdb" sql account/permission, but it would be good to confirm?
This is often caused by a permission issue with the folder itself. Check that IIS and the Snow services have rights to read and write to the processing / incoming directory.
