Is there a list of SaaS applications that SLM can report on and connect to?
My manager asked me for a list (he said he said there are about 300 SaaS apps) of SaaS applications that can be connected via Snow?
Is there a list for this? or documentation of this? I tried checking through your document site and i could not pick it up.

Although Marcel states 'we don't share this list in public" I think it is 'available'. Check the file webmetering.rules in the agent directory. With a bit of editing I think you can get the list yourself

Open up your SMACC and under license manager/Software recognition/Application definitions query on Applications ending with (Cloud). Use Edit Filter to use the ending option.
Alternatively if you have access to the backend database query the LicenceManager table with the following query
SELECT DISTINCT tblApplication.Name
FROM tblApplication
WHERE tblApplication.IsWebApplication = 1

Hello - I've asked my rep and she is working on it, as we are hosted and cannot open up SMACC.
Not sure I understand why a list that would benefit the sale of Snow, isn't readily available.

I don't think SaaS apps get pushed to the 'Webapps.config' file client side only locally configured Web Applications get pushed. Unless I am missing something :-).

If you don't have access to either the SMACC or backend Database you will struggle to obtain the list. Snow will never publish the Application this as its huge and changing constantly plus it's commercially sensitive. You can of course see what snow has identified on your estate by running and applications report with '(Cloud)' in the filter.

Hi folks,
I've looked in Licence Manager/SMACC/Software recognition/Application definitions/Applications and I can find the list of applications which end in "(Cloud)" - thanks Warwick!
I know there are users, including myself, who access some of these services.
However when I report on the web interface with the "All applications" report and "Web application" selected as "Yes", I get no results.
Am I missing a step?

Just for clarification to be able to see Cloud based software you need to be on 8.2 of license manager. As you are getting results from the SMACC you are on a supported version. As to the Web Application field this is for use of your own defined Web Applications not cloud based software (maybe?). When I run that report I only see the Applications I have created. Does any Cloud based software appear under a computer in license manager? Also check the rules to see if you have any hits on the application you know is being accessed (Within the SMACC). Am wondering if you need to configure something else to enable cloud based monitoring as I can't see anything in License Manager either. Hopefully someone from Snow will be able to clarify

Hi Warwick, many thanks for the email.
We’re on 8.1 of the licence manager which may be the problem.
I see nothing in licence manager for web/cloud applications including ones which I have configured myself.
I think 8.1 may be the key here
