What does the "meteroff" in for example "xxx_meteroff_snowagent-5.0.2.x64.msi" stands for?
sounds like that particular install has the software metering switched off as default - therefore you won't get the data on who and how many times applications are being used
you can request whatever combinations of configuration you want and snow will create you the specific install package to match that criteria e.g. you probably want metering to be switched on, on your desktop estate might not necessarily for the servers
Thanks a lot. That's exactly what I was looking for.
no problems - you can always double check the client.ini after install anyway to see what's been set up etc
You can use a "msiexec.exe /a.." command to extract the MSI file, so there is no need to install to examine the snowagent.config file. There is a <Meter>..</Meter> part you should examine. I always double check if the snowagent.config has the correct configuration before deploying the MSI.
Example msiexec.exe command: msiexec.exe /a "<source path to xxx_meteroff_snowagent-5.0.2.x64.msi>" /qb targetdir="<target path to extracted files from xxx_meteroff_snowagent-5.0.2.x64.msi>"
