Snow Daily Maintenance

Actions always produce outcomes!  When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action.

 

The Snow daily maintenance and update can take between 1 and 2 hours.  It's impact can be that the system is offline and cannot be accessed.  To overcome that, it was set to run at 1 am London Time with the consequence that locations in Asia and Australasia could not use Snow.  This was then moved to 9 pm London Time and this reduces the impact for Australasia but the consequence is that Asia and Americas are now impacted.  This means there is no real sweet spot for this process.

 

I just wonder if this could be better and if this could not run in parallel.  Then switch between two DB for SLM.  Either way, I still think this needs to be better and no doubt the bigger the organisation, with more locations results in more consequences.

 

Bottom line, I have some unhappy license admins out there.
