Our Service Management team starts implementing new processes in our new ITSM tool.
They asked me, if Snow Inventory can provide information what computers are for example connected to which router.
So in case of an network error with a special router or in a special segment, the team then can see what servers are affected and therefore what services are unavailable at that time. Then they can send alerts to the Helpdesk or the affected people.
I know Discovery can detect routers in a network.
I also already asked Snow, and they told me with custom fields on computers I can store that information.
But has anyone already used that to setup such a process and is willing to share, how this could be implemented ?
