Snow Inventory Gateway Server - Setup on Domain Controller

Hi Community,

I'm trying to set up Snow Inventory 5.4.0 as a Service Gateway (SGS) on a Windows Server 2008R2 SP1 that is also a Read-Only Domain Controller.

The server does not properly deal with any client communication when running under the "Local System" account. Still, it shows the blue "Snow Web Page" when accessed with a browser.

However, when we use a Domain Admin account to run the server (which is definitely a NO GO for a production system), the SGS works well and all agent communication works well.

Hence the question: What specific rights, group memberships, ... are needed for a service account on a Win2k8R2 SP1 RoDC? Has anyone already succeeded in configuring a service account on a domain controller?

The Snow Agent works well under the local system account on this machine, and is also able to communicate with the master server when configured to do so.

Thanks for your support!

Best regards
