Licensing software deployed on Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX

Hi all,

We have a mixture of devices, predominately Windows but a smallish quantity of Apple Mac devices.

From time to time we purchase software licenses where the users of the software can be both Windows and Mac OSX based.

The issue comes when we try to license the software. An example of this is Trimble SketchUp Pro.

The license purchased has no device restriction, and there isn't a separate license from Trimble for Windows and Mac devices. If we add the license into SLM for 10 users, of which 7 are using Windows PC's and 3 are using Apple Mac's the 3 using the Apple Mac's will show as non-compliant since the application is named differently:

Windows: Trimble SketchUp 2017 Pro

Apple: Trimble SketchUp 2017 Pro (mac)

I have tried ticking the box for "Cross-platform" in the license, but this hasn't made a difference.

I could add a new license for the MAC edition and split the numbers accordingly, but there are a lot of other applications where this is happening and I shouldn't have to spend time doing this surely?

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any help

Greg
