Latest Snow Agent

we have recently rolled out the latest Snow agent and I was under the impression that it automatically removes any older version of the Snow agent. However, this was not the case so I raised it with my service provider.

I was then informed that it doesn't remove the older version, but this is something that they have to do back end. So as you can imagine I am a little puzzled.

Not sure how they remove this backend as they would not have access to our devices, or is this something that is tweaked within the SMAC tool, which I don't have access to as that is for the service provider to manage. If it is the latter, is this not just a manipulation of data and in reality our devices would in fact still have two installations?
