Application edition from content of a local file

In my organization (7K devices) we are using a statistical application called JMP from SAS Institute. The application comes in a standard edition simply called JMP and a pro edition called JMP Pro. Now JMP Pro is rather expensive at around 6.000 EUR yearly per user and off course we want to keep close track of deployments. However the only difference between the installation of the standard and the pro edition is stored in a local file on the clients. The difference is not reflected in either executable name, registry entries or installation folders but only in the mentioned file. The file is located in the default install library and has a standardized content. Is there any way i can get this information reflected in Snow so i can replace my manual registration?
