I need to be able to give a user rights to see only one type of agreement. An agreement type that we added ourselves - Certificate. How do I do that in SMACC.
You can’t specify rights on a report type in an Agreement.
You could create roles in the SMACC and select this role on the security tab from the Agreement. This way only the users with this role can see and access the added Agreement and users without the role can’t.
Another option is to use an Organization restriction. You can attach a user in the SMACC to a specific organization and select this Organization on the Security tab from the Agreements.
Best regards, Jeroen
If I understand you correctly I can´t give a user access to only the agreementtype ”Certificates”...? What I can edit is what shows in SMACC (below)? The user has to be able to add/edit/delete agreements concerning Certificates.
Yes, in the SMACC under Roles you can create one or more roles. When you add or edit an Agreement you can select this role on the security tab. Users with this role can then see and edit the agreement. Also depending on the rights specified in the role.
Step 1. Add a new role in the SMACC.
Step 2. Select in the Object Security tab all rights for this specific role.
Step 3. Select al available reports for this role on the Report Security Tab.
Step 4. Click OK to save the Role.
Step 5. Select a user and add the role to the users on the Roles tab.
Step 6. Click Ok to save the changes.
Step 7. Go to the SLM web portal and edit an agreement.
Step 8. On the Security tab select the role you want to allow access to this agreement.
Users without this role won’t be able to see or edit the agreement. So, you must create multiple roles for your agreements and add them to each agreement.
