If we rename a machine and it has all the same identifiers e.g. S/N, manufacture. the only way is to change the SID. What is the easiest way to complete this with out using sysprep?

I understand that, but I have asked if anyone one knows another way to do it without that program. Simply because I only need to do the change because SNOW did not update the Asset name in the inventory manager.
Do you mean that the computer name in Snow inventory is not changed even if you changed the name on the computer? In that case you should ask the snow support investigate.
Also, I was wondering if someone know of any commands that can force SNOW to check.

I recommend you only go the supported way on the part of Microsoft.
