Is there any setting for which Last Logged on User or any other user info will not be included in the data send to Snow ?
there is a setting in the config file ot the Inventory Agent:
Replace the user name (anywhere present) with SHA-1 hash of the user name (UTF-8 byte representation). Only applicable to the Windows and POSIX Agents.
This modifies user names in the inventory source.
From the document "TechDesc_SecurityConsiderations.pdf":
ANONYMIZATION OF DATAThe Snow Inventory Agent can be configured to send anonymous data from the inventoriedcomputer. The following data can be replaced by SHA-1 hash:▪ usernames of logged on users▪ usernames within software metering (i.e. users who have used applications on thecomputer)▪ the IP addresses assigned to the network interfaces of the computerTo enable the anonymous data option, add the following system settings to the agentconfiguration file:privacy.hide_user=trueprivacy.hide_ip=trueFor more information, refer to Configuration guide, Snow Inventory Agents.
Additionally there is another knowledge base article describing the agent configuration in total.
Hope this helps,
Thanks for the answer, but where can I find this option in Inventory windows Agent.
you can either modify this setting in the Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC) on the Server or in the snowagent.config on all inventoried clients.
In SMACC, you will have to EDIT your configuration and perform an agent update.
When editing the configuration the system settings will be the place to look at. If there is no "Provacy_Hide_User" setting, you can add it here. You will have to set it to "true" ;-)
